It is now official Sony is releasing eight Heisei and Millennium Godzilla titles as two disc sets on May 6th, this was previously a rumor but now the Blu-rays are listed on Amazon at the list price of $19.99 but you can get them for $14.99 by ordering them now as pre-orders. The sets are Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah (1991) & Godzilla Vs. Mothra (1992), Godzilla Vs. MechaGodzilla II (1993) & Godzilla Vs. Space Godzilla (1994), Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah (1995) & Godzilla Vs. Megaguirus (2000), Godzilla Final Wars (2004) & Godzilla: Tokyo SOS (2003) (the last one seems to be missing from Amazon at the moment).
As we report previously conspicuously missing are Godzilla 2000 (1999), Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001), and Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla (2002), we unsure at this time if they will get the Blu-ray release as well.
These along with Godzilla Vs. Hedorah, Godzilla Vs. Gigan, Ebirah Horror of the Deep, King Kong Vs. Godzilla, King Kong Escapes, Godzilla Vs. Megalon, and Destroy All Monsters are getting the Blu-ray treatment, the unfortunate thing is the rights for these films are spread around which is probably to blame for not getting all the Godzilla movies as Toho is doing in Japan.
